In the beginning, there was a wood.
We are please to announce that This Is Education CIC is forming a new Special school set entirely in a woodland.
We are not yet in a position to say exactly where, as we have not signed any contracts, but we do have a willing and nationally recognized partner in outdoor education in advanced negotiations.
We currently have a business plan, a curriculum and are busily spending our lockdown hours putting together our application to be the first UK special school set entirely in the outdoors.
There are many hurdles to overcome yet, but we are hopeful that we will be able to open in September 2021 for new pupils.
